Trip itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO CROATIA  

Welcome to Croatia. Once you arrive to Pula airport, our English speaking driver and local host will meet & greet you at the airport and will escort you to your hotel.

On the magnificent coast of Istria region, right below the Lim Fjord, is the most romantic place in the Mediterranean! The town of Rovinj, the right destination for all of you seeking a sentimental atmosphere of the times that have forever gone by. In the Mediterranean, you can find it here, in the town that has begun its romantic life on an island, its restricted area resulting in crowded houses, narrow streets and small squares, still untouched by modern urbanism.

Hotel amenities will help you to relax and rejuvenate. Rest of the day is at leisure.

DAY 2: HILLTOP TOWNS WITH TRUFFLE LUNCH

Morning at leisure. Use hotel amenities to rejuvenate from your travels to Croatia.

In the afternoon, we are taking you to less known part of Istria, the hidden gems. The old centre of Buje is on a 222m high hill from where is a beautiful view of nearby hills and green terrace fields. The prehistoric hill-fort of St Pelegrin near the town testifies to life in this region from the Bronze Age. The town’s medieval structure, walls, two town gates, two towers and the central square have been preserved. One of the best tourist attractions is driving along the roads in the Buje are

Later we continue to Motovun, a town monument, an ancient little Istrian town located atop a 277-meter-high hill. Its present appearance, with the city walls surrounding the center of the town, dates back to the middle Ages. Enjoy truffle lunch in one of the local restaurants where famous Anthony Bourdain had one of his best meals while traveling around Croatia.


After lunch we will stop and explore Grožnjan, Istrian medieval hilltop town overfilled with galleries and artists. If you just occasionally pass along its streets in which almost every door leads to art studios or galleries, and which windows from every direction echoes the sounds of different music genres, from classical to jazz, you’ll understand why Grožnjan is known as “The town of artists”.

DAY 3: OLIVE GROVE VISIT & MICHELIN RATED DINNING

Today, we are taking you to a local olive grove. You will meet with the host who will make sure you learn everything about Istrian olives and production of extra virgin olive oil. Olive oil from Istria is well known to be top-3 olive oils in the world by its quality. Find out why as you taste it paired with local snacks.

Croatia is often overlooked as an olive oil-producing country. The quantity of olive oil it produces represents only a small drop compared to Spain, the world’s largest producer. But Istria, which happens to be the Mediterranean’s northern-most olive growing region, is now firmly on the olive map thanks to growing international recognition for its high-quality extra virgin olive oil.

In the early evening, enjoy special dinner in Monte, a lovely Michelin star restaurant in Rovinj, close proximity from your hotel.

DAY 4: ROVINJ – PLITVICE – HVAR (PRIVATE HELICOPTER TRANSFER)

After breakfast, embark on a private helicopter and fly your way to National Park Plitvice Lakes.

One of the top tourist attractions and an absolute must see destination in Croatia is Plitvice Lakes National Park. It’s Mother Nature at her best. Meeting with the local guide and National Park Plitvice Lakes sightseeing. The beauty of the National Park lies in its sixteen lakes, inter-connected by a series of waterfalls, and set in deep woodland populated by deer, bears, wolves, boars and rare bird species. Take a walk through this heaven on earth. Enjoy scenery of beautiful waterfalls and untouched nature. And don’t forget to make a wish under the largest waterfall as it is supposedly making your wishes come true.

Enjoy some free time in the park before you leave for Island of Hvar.


Hvar is proud that it has the sunniest hours of all the islands in the Adriatic Sea. Many people say of the town Hvar that it is a town as from a fairy- tale because its architecture, wonderful nature and its mild climate. Everybody can find in Hvar all what gives peace to the soul and relaxation to the body. Upon arrival, hotel check in and free evening at leisure.

DAY 5: WINE TOUR OF HVAR ISLAND

Morning at leisure in Hvar.

Our half-day wine tour will start with a short city tour of Hvar town. Afterwards, the tour will take you on a journey through centuries of vineyards of Hvar. With your expert local guide bringing the wines to life and unraveling Hvar wine story. We will start our journey in Hvar and start with a drive through the island inland. We will pass through old villages Brusje and Velo Grablje and through many Lavender Fields. Continuing this stress-free sightseeing, we come towards di Ager (Hora) – protected field, one of Greek culture masterpieces which remained almost intact during a period of 2400 years. The best part begins in Jelsa, where one specially chosen winery is waiting for you. We are taking you back to the roots, to pure living tradition – Duboković winery. Awarded red wines, cult Croatian wine Medvid, Before 6009 years, 2718 hours of sun in a bottle, cheese, bread – all that in an intimate candle lit cellar of winemakers family house – pure heaven or to say wine heaven. Besides all this in Duboković winery you will be able to enjoy in his own produced macerated olive oils. Try basil or sage flavoured olive oil and decide to move to Hvar permanently.

After wine tasting, we’ll head to an old, abandoned village Malo Grablje for a fabulous traditional 3 course lunch prepared locally by Berti, whos family used to live in Malo Grablje before it became abandoned. After lunch, return back to Hvar.

DAY 6: YACHTING TO PAKLENI ISLANDS & VIS

This day is reserved for a lovely sea adventure. Embark on a private yacht and cruise to Pakleni Islands and Vis.

A short distance away from Hvar Island are the Pakleni Islands. In fact, they are so close that you can see them directly from Hvar town, the main tourist hub on the popular island. This is the reason why they are considered to be part of the so-called Hvar Riviera. They are often mistakenly called Hell’s Islands given that the Croatian word for hell is “pakao”, but there is nothing diabolic about them. Their name comes from a type of pine resin, which was once harvested on the islands and used for coating ships – paklina.

We could say that island Vis is true paradise. From the distance it looks like one mountain with highest peak of 587 meters (Hum). When you get close to island numerous bays and coves open in front of your eyes with beautiful beaches and rich vegetation of pine trees, olive trees and vineyards.

After this amazing day, return back to Hvar.

DAY 7: HVAR – DUBROVNIK (PRIVATE YACHT TRANSFER)

Enjoy breakfast in your hotel. Afterwards, embark on a private boat and start your sea adventure, the perfect way to experience the extraordinary beauty of Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast. First you will cruise to Island Mljet. Untouched nature, the island’s mysticism, olive groves, vineyards and rich forests are ideal places to research the rich flora and fauna, and to peacefully enjoy the pristine beauty of the natural surroundings. Explore this beautiful National Park with our local guide.

Continue your cruise to Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik lies in the extreme south of Croatia, basking in glorious Mediterranean sunshine for much of the year. A fairytale fortress of beautiful Baroque, Gothic and Renaissance churches, aristocratic palaces, red-roofed townhouses, magnificent monasteries and fascinating history, it is almost impossible to feel anything but uplifted and inspired here.

DAY 8: DUBROVNIK CITY TOUR & PRIVATE CITY WALLS DINNER

Explore the wonders of Dubrovnik’s Old City Centre, a UNESCO heritage site and one of the most important living historical monuments in this part of Europe. Your expert guide will take you around this magical medieval town full of legends and give you a glimpse of the incredible history that makes Dubrovnik such a unique city. Explore Dubrovnik City Walls and enjoy a unique view of the Old Town of Dubrovnik including its narrow streets and small squares. As you step through the gates of Dubrovnik’s old city walls, you will be taking a step back in time, losing yourself in the grandeur and beauty of this culturally influential city.

In the early evening, you will enjoy a spectacular private dinner on top of Dubrovnik City Walls. Immerse yourself and taste fresh, homemade Croatian meals prepared by professional chefs. Accompanied by Klapa (local Dalmatian folk band), create wonderful memories you will cherish forever.

DAY 9: SCENIC RIDE TO BOKA BAY (HELICOPTER TOUR)

Embark on a private helicopter and enjoy journey through renaissance and baroque spirit of old buildings and aroma of Mediterranean flora. First enjoy a scenic drive to Perast, old fisherman’s village and the town of the first Montenegrin mariners. Perast is a sleepy baroque place near Kotor. The most beautiful buildings of this small city were built in the 17th and 18th centuries. In front of this beautiful town are two islands situated, Saint George from the 12th century, and the Church of Our Lady of the Rock built in 1630. Enjoy visit to the Island “Lady of the Rock”.

After sightseeing tour of Perast, departure to Kotor for a Sightseeing of Kotor’s Old town, the one of the most significant old towns on the entire Mediterranean. The medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have put Kotor on the UNESCO list of the “World Natural and Cultural Heritage Sites”. Throughout the city there are structures, interwoven by streets and squares. On one of them there is the St. Tripun Cathedral (built in 1166), the monument of the Roman culture and one of the most recognized symbols of the city.

Before returning back to Dubrovnik, we are taking you for a local lunch.

After this amazing day, return back to Dubrovnik.

DAY 10: FLY OUT

Private transfer to Dubrovnik airport.

Fly out of Croatia.

Due to COVID19, Via has changed booking terms and conditions. Every deposit payment is fully refundable in case the travelers are not allowed to get into the country or cannot make it to the destination due to COVID19 travel disturbances and restrictions. In case the travelers are allowed to enter the destination regular terms and conditions apply.

Also, any booking can be re-booked to new dates without penalty 60 days prior to the arrival. Closer re-bookings are subject to every individual situation.
