DAY 1: PULA ARRIVAL – ROVINJ ARRIVAL

Welcome to Istria, “Croatian Tuscany”. Rovinj is a great place to begin the Istrian tour. Lovely Rovinj, a city port that sits on a picturesque peninsula, is considered the most romantic place in the Mediterranean. Untouched by modern times, the heart of Rovinj is a place to fully surrender to the soothing energy of an old, slow, and cozy Mediterranean.

Cobbled streets of Rovinj are lined with an old architecture that dates as far back as early 1700, while some of its remains are from the Ilyric, Roman and Venetian times. Climbing on the top of the bell tower rewards with a charming panoramic view of the town, the sea, and nearby islands. In front of the bell tower and St. Eufemija’s church is a scenic square, a great place to get rest and enjoy the authentic flair of Istria’s small town.

Without cars on its streets, the old town of Rovinj is super friendly for children and an ideal setting for a relaxed strolling across romantic streets and lovely sea promenades.

In the afternoon, Croatian gastronomy adventure starts with a mouthwatering welcome dinner in a local restaurant. Fresh, locally grown ingredients, famous Istrian wine, traditional recipes, and world-known Istrian hospitality make Istria favored foodie destination.

Overnight in Rovinj.

DAY 2: ISTRIA BIKING TOUR

Beautiful Istria offers fantastic of the beaten path biking routes across vineyards, olive orchard, and near lovely Istrian acropolis cities. The tranquil and serene landscape of Istria is a beloved biking destination.

The tour starts in picturesque Buje “Town of the Artist,” the small Istrian town of great cultural heritage, located 40 km from Poreč, 70 km from Rovinj, 85 km from Pula. Grožnjan’s narrow and cobbled streets direct the tour to the Parenzana, ex-railway. Incredibly scenic, Parenzana overlooks the idyllic river Mirna valley. Through tunnels and bridges, the tour will come to Livade and visit the truffle store. On the other side of the river, Mirna is Motovun, one of the most beautiful Istrian medieval towns, where the tour will end with an exclusive truffle lunch.

Motovun is an ancient Istrian acropolis city perched on the top of a 277 meter-high hill. The town radiates with middle aged-fish charm as if its time stopped in the 13th century. Spectacular landscape, beautiful Motovun Forest rich with truffles, and a dreamy atmosphere of Motovun make it of the most famous Istrian hinterland towns.

Overnight in Rovinj.

DAY 3: ROVINJ – PLITVICE TOUR

Halfway between Split and Zagreb is the most exciting place of Croatian hinterland – National Park Plitvice Lake, UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many visitors think that its 16 lakes interconnected with about 90 spectacular waterfalls and framed by lush greenery might be the most beautiful place in the world. And we couldn’t agree more.

Plitvice offers a delightful walk along 18 km of beautiful wooden footbridges and pathways. Walking along the crystalline lakes and besides magical waterfalls detoxes from any kind of restlessness or stress. The tranquility of the perfectly turquoise water, misty waterfalls, and bountiful shades of green are a mother’s nature’s finest wellness treatment. Locals believe that wishes made under the biggest Plitvice waterfall always come true. And we think it is worth a try.

The National Park goes beyond beautiful cascading lakes. It occupies an area of 30,000 hectares, covered by beech, fir, and spruce forest. Deers, bears, wolves, boars, and numerous rare bird species live in this well-preserved piece of biodiversity heaven.

DAY 4: ZIPLINE BEWARE OF THE BEAR

Thrilling zip line experience in Lika, 80 meters above the ground, is a beloved destination for adrenaline addicts. It energizes and relaxes, providing excitement and a joyful sense of freedom.

DAY 5: PLITVICE – SPLIT

Welcome to Split! Split is the second biggest city in Croatia and often referred to as “The most beautiful city in the world” and “Mediterranean flower.” It doesn’t take too much time to find out the origin of Split’s nicknames.

The heart of Split is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Diocletian palace. Although it was built in Roman times, it is still a place where people live, do business and hang around. Narrow streets of the castle are filled with unsurpassable charm and beauty. Diocletian Palace is an ancient yet vivacious and pulsating heart of the city, which is not very common.

Below the palace is Riva, palm-lined seafront promenade, world-famous for its beauty, lovely historic buildings, and zen-inducing overlook at the Adriatic sea.

Just a bit on the west is a beautiful Marjan, protected nature park. The beautiful peninsula opens spectacular views over the islands. Walking in a dense shade of Aleppo pine, cypresses, agaves, and yellow-flowering broom surround you with an irresistible scent of their essential oils, dispensed in warm Mediterranean air. If you climb 100 steps to the Marjan outlook, you will be rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view of the city.

Split people love fashion and style, so there are more than a few attractive local designer’s shops. Pair it with some wines for you and delicious ice cream or cakes for your children in the heart of the city, a swim at most famous Split beach Bačvice, and maybe peek into Gallery of Fine Art… and you are about to fully grasp what the fuss about Split is…

DAY 6: CETINA RIVER RAFTING

Rafting on the river Cetina, one of the most beautiful rivers in this part of Europe, is among the most popular adventure activities in Dalmatia. Rafting is the best way to experience the majestic canyon of river Cetina, its amazingly clean water, and luscious nature.

Wild, fresh river Cetina, its fast waterfalls, stunning caves, and jungle-like vegetation are breathtakingly beautiful. Rafting on the exciting river Cetina is a lovely experience. Going down the class 2 and 3 rapids (the scale is up to 6) provides just enough adrenaline, yet is safe and pleasant.

For the maximum satisfaction and safety, we use professional rafting boats for 6 people, with a trained guide in each boat and equipped with everything for pleasant and safe rafting. In case of cold weather, we will provide long neoprene suits and rain jackets.

DAY 7: NP KRKA BIKING

National Park Krka is among the most popular and most beautiful Croatian national parks. Lush greenery, tranquil lakes, powerful waterfalls, and cultural sites relax and reinvigorate body and soul. There is something almost meditative about the freshness and serenity of the river Krka and its surroundings. This is definitely one of the most elegant and most beautiful places for a biking tour ever.

The mouth of the river Krka is a beautiful set of breathtaking features, waterfalls, stunning canyon, and crystalline lakes. It attracts nature lovers, hikers, cyclists and offers an exciting day for a trip away from crowded tourist trails.

The biking tour meanders around Croatian heritage sites, blended with surreally beautiful forests, hills, and dreamlike monuments. One of the totally breathtaking moments of your trip will be a visit to an island of Visovac by boat. Idyllic island amidst the quiet lake, with a picturesque church, has Disney-level magic. After Visovac, the tour will take a break on the beach for a swim in a tranquil lake before it continues our trip towards Skradinski Buk.

The most appealing falls in the park, Skradinski Buk, consists of nearly 20 different waterfalls and is almost a half-mile long. Swimming beneath Skradinski Buk, in the clear crystalline pool, is a breathtakingly beautiful experience.

DAY 8: SPLIT – DUBROVNIK – SUNSET KAYAKING

One of Dubrovnik’s most popular summer activities is a sea kayaking tour around the Dubrovnik City Walls. City’s impressive and invincible fortress looks impressive from a kayak softly gliding through the calm and sleepy sea at sunset.

Kayaking in the sunset, under the Sea Walls, near the islands and secluded bays is a mesmerizing experience. The sound of the paddling, water, and light breeze merge with soothing colors of sunset and stunning view on Dubrovnik.

After pleasant paddling by the city wall, in Pile Bay, a dreamlike site where several of the Game of Thrones scenes were shot, is a short refreshment break. Enjoy your sandwich, juice, fruits, or sweets you prepared for yourself.

DAY 9: ISLAND HOPPING ELAPHITI ISLANDS

Elafiti islands were Dubrovnik’s aristocracy’s favorite place of leisure. Those people knew how to fully enjoy life. Following their footsteps across Elafiti will introduce you to the most sophisticated Mediterranean joie de vivre. The culmination of the Elafiti tour is a dinner in a unique BOWA restaurant.

Aromatic myrtle, laurel, thyme, rosemary fill the air of Elafiti with the characteristic Mediterranean smell. And tall cypresses and thick pine trees embrace the islands, providing natural shade and the perfect place to relax between the swims in the crystalline azure sea.

Elastic offers excellent beaches, beautiful roads for hiking, and some delicious restaurants.

A dinner in BOWA restaurant is one of the rare gastronomic and lifestyle experiences that exceed all expectations and create unforgettable memories. BOWA is one of a kind restaurant on the untouched island of Šipan, where the creative chef serves the most authentic and savory food on a separate wooden terrace above the sea.
