Slovenia is a top destination for all sorts of outdoor adventure activities. Some of the best hiking, rafting, caving or biking is possible in this small but diverse country. And you’ll experience plenty of those. Starting with the remarkable and probably the most famous Slovenian destination – BLED region and finishing on even higher note, with SOČA VALLEY region adventures that will take your breath away, literally and figuratively.

DAY 1: LJUBLJANA ARRIVAL – BLED REGION

Welcome to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Ljubljana is remarkable for its rich tradition, youthful vibrancy, cultural creativity, feel for entertainment, and numerous green spaces. On the one hand, it ranks among mid-sized European cities and offers all the comforts of big capitals, while on the other, it has preserved a small-town friendliness and a uniqueness of its own.

Upon your arrival to Ljubljana airport, private transfer to your hotel in Bled.

Enjoy the scenic ride to the Alpine region, where on the banks of the mountain lake, beneath the peaks of Julian Alps a charming little town of Bled is situated. This pearl of Slovenia and the whole Alpine region, with a tiny island and St. Mary’s Church in the middle of the Lake and an old medieval Castle up on the cliff that offers you an amazing view is definitely something you will be enchanted with.

DAY 2: CYCLING ADVENTURE ON LAKE BLED

This day is reserved for exploring Bled and local Alpine villages with on a bike.

Various roads and trails connecting the villages around Lake Bled are suitable for short biking trips, and the forest roads on the Jelovica, Pokljuka, and Mežakla Plateaus will impress even the most advanced mountain bikers. The tour can be done with bikes or e-bikes and it has various different levels to meed anyone’s physical condition. Definitely one of the nicest biking routes in Slovenia can be found here, so enjoy it.

DAY 3: BLED REGION HIKING ADVENTURE

Take a hike to the mountains as the immediate and distant vicinity of Bled offers plenty of mountains to choose from. The woods of Pokljuka, Mežakla and Jelovica form the backdrop to Bled. Futhermore the Julian Alps and Triglav on one side, and Karavanke with Stol, Vrtača and Begunjščica on the other, highlight the beauty of the background. On a clear day the Kamnik and Savinja Alps can be seen on the east horizon.

In short, there are plenty of mountains near and further from Bled. Bled too is proud of its rich mountaineering tradition, now over 100 years old. Climb the peaks above Bled which will enthuse you with their magnificent views.

You will hike to Mala Osojnica and Velika Osojnica. The most beautiful views of Lake Bled and its surroundings, the Karavanke, Kamniško-Savinjske Alpe mountain ranges and the Ljubljana basin await you. Perhaps you might recognise the view from the most popular panoramic images of Bled.

After this wonderful day, return back to your hotel.

DAY 4: EXPERIENCE SUMMER TOBOGGANING IN BLED

Young or adult – all in love with adrenaline! Ride down the summer chute and enjoy the bold ride.

Summer tobogganing is a fantastic experience for young and old alike. The sledding track is situated on the Straza Hill above Lake Bled.

The sledding route is arranged over a very interesting terrain and offers splendid view of Bled, Bled Castle, Lake Bled and the countryside of Bled. The selected route ensures an interesting ride and takes care for an appropriate measure of adrenaline.

DAY 5: BLED – BOVEC

Soča Valley’s “capital” – Bovec offers plenty for adventure-sports enthusiasts. With the Julian Alps above, the Soča River below and Triglav National Park all around, you could spend a week here rafting, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking and, in winter, skiing, without ever doing the same thing twice. It’s beautiful country and Bovec’s a pleasant town in which to base yourself for these activities.

DAY 6: EMERALD RIVER ADVENTURE

During today’s adventure you will discover some of the most beautiful hidden places around Triglav National Park. The adventure follows circular route around Triglav National Park. Stopping at Kranjska Gora then over the Vršič pass (Slovenia’s most beautiful mountain road) followed by Bovec, where there is an option to go rafting on Slovenia’s best rafting river – the Soča. The route then follows the beautiful Soča Valley south via pretty Kobarid to Most na Soči with its wondeful lake. From Most na Soči you take an unforgettable ride on a car-train along the wild Baska Grapa Valley.

White water RAFTING on the river SOČA offers scenic and fun river experience with some moderate II, III & III+ class rapids. River Soča has a very special and emerald crystal clear color and is considered as one the most beautiful rivers in the world.

After this adrenalin rush, return back to your hotel.

DAY 8: SOČA VALLEY ZIPLINE ADRENALINE RUSH

Feel the adrenaline rush of the Soča zipline — the biggest in Europe — flying above the protected area of the Učja Gorge with unique views of the Soča Valley.

It’s the largest zipline park in Europe, where you can descend for 4,5 kilometres across the Učja Gorge, down 10 consecutive ziplines (steel cable lines).

When flying up to 60 km/h attached to a zipline, you’ll also be able to enjoy the fantastic views of the Soča Valley, the Julian Alps, and the Učja Canyon below. At times even 200 metres below you!

And not only that — you will be accompanied by professional expert guides, who will make this a safe and interesting experience. The canyon of Učja River is also a NATURA 2000 protected area, and they can tell you all about it.

Soar through the Učja Valley on a zipline course that takes you from mountain top vistas into the depths of the Učja River gorge. With 10 ziplines varying in length, height, and speed, the variety of excitement and scenery on this adventure is ideal for thrill seekers who are ready for an adrenaline rush. Provided gear and instruction ensures the adventure is hassle-free.

DAY 9: KAYAKING ADVENTURE ON SOČA RIVER

Slovenia’s best kayaking location and most breathtaking river scenery is arguably on the Soča River. Kayaking in Slovenia on the Soča River offers a variety of launch sites stretching from the Trenta Valley in the North right down to Dolje just north of Tolmin. Not all of the river is navigable and there are different stretches suitable for different abilities.

Kayak descent on the River Soča inspires kayakers with special feelings of experiencing nature. Gliding on the wavy emerald water surface stops every once in a while in calm spots of the river and touches you with freshness, humming and magical views. Kayaking trip to the Soča Valley is a proper chill in the hot summer days, while you will forget all about bad weather on rainy days.
